Didn't you also like when they asked him why he hadn't expressed anger SOONER about AIG bonusses and he said, 'because I like to know what I'm talking about before I make pronouncements." I bet a LOT of people feel "talked down to" by President Obama, because he is SMARTER THAN 90% of the American public. On the OTHER hand, Dubya really DID talk down to the American public, in spite of being DUMBER than 90% of the populace. It is a tragedy that the American Citizenry is trained to feel HOSTILE to displays of intelligence by their own leader. You know, I had never thought about that! I bet a LOT of people feel “talked down to” by President Obama, because he is SMARTER THAN 90% of the American public.

I do think though, that it might be time to stop appearing in public for a while; I'm beginning to feel talked-down to.
